no power to Pin D on in-dash wire harness
1992 Prelude Si. I am trying to put in a new head unit, and I am not getting any power to Pin D which is the +12 Volt ignition wire. Which I think is the reason why my radio will not turn on. What can I do to get power to this pin? Hopefully I do not have to rewire the whole thing.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks

First, check your fuses. If they're good, then it just may be a burnt wire. Simply run a new one from the accessory lead on your ignition harness or the heater blower or something. It's a low current draw so it shouldn't be a problem to simply tap it somewhere. Just make sure you fuse it.

The fuse box in the engine bay or the one to the left of my feet. I have no idea about wiring so your help is greatly appreciated. I will check the fuses and check the wires. I had my ignition switched out so they may have cut a wire or something so I will check.
Thanks again.

MIke</TD></TR></TABLE> The one to your left, also check if you have power at the radio fuse in the fuse box, [ the one to your left] evan if the fuse looks good, check and make sure there is power at both ends of the fuse, [with ign. on] also if you are going to work on the elec. on your car. go and get yourself a multimeter, they are not expensive, and will pay for themselfs in no time. if you already have one, never mind

Thanks for the help. I will go pick one up tonight as I want this fixed asap. At lunch I pulled the pieces around the ignition and the panal underneath exposing all the wires. I changed a fuse that was ran in line with the wires for the radio. And it didn't seem to help. I will check the fuse panal and check back after.
Again thanks for the help.
Mike
