clutch problems
I have a 93 vx and have noticed that ever since it has gotten colder outside
my clutch has started to feel very spongy. The clutch used to work just fine.
Then a few days ago the clutch had about 4 inches of slack when being compressed before the clutch would dissengage. I just went out a tried to
drive it today but now the slack in the line will not even let me get into gear.
If anyone has any ideas on what I should try please let me know. Also let me
know if you need any information. I have not tried anything yet because this just
happened today. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure it's the col weather and not actually a clutch line/cylinder problem? Have you ruled out the Clutch Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, all lines and fittings?
That is what I was thinking it was, but the clutch just started doing this around a week and a half agovwhen it started going around 30-40 degrees. It also seemed like it started working a little better when I was driving around a couple nights ago for an hour or two. It might not be cold related though. It just occurred to me since I noticed it right when it started getting cold. I will defineatly check those though. Thanks.
If it's cold related i can think to point to the lines and your master cylinder. Try flushing the fluid and replacing the fluid in the system. you probably have air in the lines which is expanding and contraciting to give you slack in the line. So bleed/replace fluid in your clutch
Thanks for your help guys. I was just checking the clutch pedal and found
that brake fluid has been leaking under my carpet from the slave cylinder and
mayber a few lines, so tomorrow I will have to thoroughly check the whole system.
