1st gen integra?
Is there a g1 Integra sale going on? This has been asked 3 times in the last 24 hours.
For specs, go to http://www.g1teg.org, they have all of the info you could ever need.
All of the g1s use a d16a1 DOHC (non-vtec) engine. The 1986-87 ones have 113hp and 99 ft/lbs of tq, while the 88-89 has 118hp/103tq, so I am guessing they are capable of high-16 second 1/4 miles.

Honestly if it's your daily, don't do anything to the engine. Unlike a Mustang there's nothing really low buck you can do that will make a big difference. If you find a really cheap deal on I/H/E then maybe do that. But still to me that is a waste of money and I don't like putting cheap parts on my car just so I can say it's modded.
If you want to spend money on it I would first get everything running top notch and then take a look at the suspension. Nice tires, springs, shocks, bushings, and a rear anti roll bar will make the car a lot more fun than engine mods for the same price.
