I prefer 16's but 15's are easier to come by and are more abundant. Just my opinion.

This has been tested before. The EF as far as performance is concerned the 15" has the greatest benifits. They weight the least and use a 195/50/15 tire will will provide the greastest amount of road traction even around corners where there is still some side wall to absurb bumps in the road.
I run 15" Regamaster Comp wheels on my 89 crx that are a whole 7.5 lbs each and 19 pounds with the tires mounted.

my personal opinion is a 15x7 wheel w/ 205/50/15 tire, like was stated above you still get a little sidewall so its not too bumpy around town, and a 15" wheel will be lighter (this is what i have)

a 16x7 wheel w/ a 205/45/16 tire will have a little less sidewall to flex and a little more rotational mass.

so its really all a matter of what you want and what you think looks better.

i personally wouldnt go any bigger than 16" on an EF jsut b/c you run into too many rubbing issues and i dont think it looks right IMO

15x7

The only reason I would get 16s is for bigger brakes.

I like 15s, but ever since I put 16s on the car I was hooked. Just better selection of tires, better handling, and you can upgrade the brakes. I have 16x7s and I think it looks perfect.

i've had 13x5, 14x5.5, 15x6.5 and 18x7 inch wheels on mine: and i liked the 14 best for performance, 15 best for looks.

i'm sure when i get better tyres on the 15s i'll be happier with the performance.

not saying performance is bad with the 15s though; just that the 14s were better.

oh yeah, cheapest: 13x5 with a 155R13. tyres usually about $18 each. it'll drive like pure crap though.

I think the sidewalls on 15s roll just a little bit much for my taste. It is more comfortable, but with a good suspention setup (good adjustable dampers and springs) I can live with the little extra harshness over the 15s in exchange for the added control.
Trouble is... to keep the weight down you're immediately forced into the more expensive wheels.

I have 15" now, with toyo proxes...tested 16" lenso VPD's on a similar crx....and now I am switching to 16" with Yokohama prada's.

Estetically speaking...16"s look just a little better filling the wheel arches. 17 is too big no matter how you look at it.

The weight and price thing is not true, rota makes light 16" wheels.

i have 16x7 lenso VPDs, 14lbs is very nice. For the people that say they like the 14" wheel for performance, what performance are you talking about, straight line? Because a 15" wheel and tire package is going to be about the same overall diamater as a 14" wheel and tire package and weight diffrence is not going to be a huge difference unless your dealing with material differences.

16" wheel with 40 series tires

i have had both 15's and 16's..16's with 195/45 looked pretty good but felt rough over potholes,bumps,etc.(plus..they were stolen ) I have 15's with 195/50 right now and feels/looks perfect and..most people on this site would concur that 15's are THE winner for CRX

NICE

I always wondered what a white ReX would look like with black 16s. I wanted to see one before I bought black rims.
