Nope, if you don't have a Romulator then you need to take it to a Hondata tuner so that it can be reconfigured (it's just in the initial setup which is then burned to your EPROM).

Well it really depends on what you've got all done to your motor. If you're looking to get it tuned soon (say you've got big injectors on a turbo motor and they need to be trimmed out), now would be the time but if that's not that case (and your motor is fairly stock) just take your ECU and blue box to the tuner and they should be able to burn you a SOHC P28 base map.

Here's my delema: im planning on doing a tubo soon but i wanna get the motor in, make sure it works and everything checks out ok before i go spending alot of money on a turbo! but i got a really good deal on the computer and hondata so i couldnt pass it up .. now im just trying to figure out what loops i gotta go threw to get it working correctly, converting it back to a stock p28 for now and then upgrade the boost option when i get the turbo in

i know what i need to know about hondata; how it works and what it can do .. im just clueless when it comes to convertng it ..theres a local hondata dealer close to town im gonna give him a call next week and find out what i can do .. i just wanted to find out what i could before hand so i know what to ask him!! thanks for the fast replys

Yea, that's cool. If you're just doing that don't worry about taking your car to your tuner. Just let them know your motor is stock and all you need is a stock SOHC VTEC map burned to your EPROM. Then you can just run that program till you decide what you wanna do. If you don't end up building a turbo setup then just leave it, if you do then you can get it tuned later.
