accord trans on a h22a
yes it will work, turns out everything f and h is interchangeable(yes even the heads) im pretty sure the h is geared shorter to suit the higher redline so ur not in like 50 in first, but dont quote me on that

Hey,
I thought I would share some info. I ran an F22 EX trans in my hatch for almost three years. I am not sure on the max speed in first, second was good to 70mph and third would run out at 110mph. One thing I did like was interstate cruising. For long distance drives it was SO nice. If I remember right, 70mph in fifth was around 2800-3000.
I have recently installed a H23 tranny. I have to say it is definitely a world of difference between the two. A whole lot shorter!!. One thing nice is the ability of second not to fall out of VTEC as easily.
On the strip with the Accord trans I ran a 14.2 @ 98. I am anxious see what the H23 box will do.
Hope this helps,
IZ

i also noticed that my car was falling out of vtec when i would throw second gear....the difference it like night and day between the f tranny and the h tranny...the H is definately the better one and if you change the clutch to that of a performance clutch..forget it you'll peel tires even at third gear easy

i have a 1992 accord EX, thats the F22A6, and the gears did nothing like you say they did, obviously different tranny's. 1st gear hit about 35, 2nd, at redline was like 60, and 3rd was 94 at the most(4th hit 125 and wasn;t done
).
Are they maybe the same tranny's and you have vtec so your higher revs let u go that fast in the gears?
