i have a 87 accord lx and the car seems to bog down when gong along at about 3-4k rpms, and won't have any pick up unless i floor it, then when it down shifts it will regain power. and sometimes on ocasstion it will die when i get to a stop light. any hint or advice would be helpfull, thanks

i hate to be the simple minded one but.. .a tune up maybe? o2 sensor??

 

Maybe it's the POS Keihin carb. I don't know anything about checking carbs though, so I can't help you there

 

something to do with ure fuel... maybe im wrong.. it could be anything.. but why dont u do a tune up.. like someone said earlier.. change all the things that u need for ure fuel.. the fuel filter.. just my IMO.. not sure.. have to look at it myself.. but good luck

 

Sounds very much like a carburetor issue to me. That and perhaps the ignition wires.

 

Check ignition timing and entire ignition system.
