I like having fun man. Its olso hard to have your gear on over your work clothes.

 

My bike was all for canyons and trackdays until recently. It is commuting 5 days a week and I have to try to find time to hit the canyons now.

 

I use it for work, school, errands, and as a stress relievant..I get to wear jeans at work so its cool

 

I ride my nc30 to school almost everyday and the occasional rec. rides

normal jeans will only hold up for maybe 4 feet. unfortunatly, thats the same thing i do. i use my bike for everything; school and wherever else i need to go. i am not really familiar with the area so everyday i go out and get lost. its fun, i get to discover tons of neat roads out in "rural" san diego.

 

Recreational rides with a group. I never leave the bike anywhere other than my garage, so that puts commuting off limits.

 

Where is the everything option?

I use it to commute, track day, and canyons. regular basis...not in winter tho ofcourse

surely you do more commuting miles than recreational or vice versa. i specificall left out the "both" option to make people think about what they really use the bike more for.

 

Whenever it's above 35degrees, dry, and gas in the tank, I'm on it!

 

I vote for everything including touring.

 

I commute m-f and have fun on the weekends I used to use my street bike as my track bike too until I picked up a f4i for the track.

i put on my robe and wizard hat...

 

I use it as "garage furniture" as I hardly ever ride it. I'll be parting ways w/ it soon it seems, but I know I'll miss it once it's gone.

 

a little bit of commute and mostly for fun

 

90% of the time its just for a cruise after a hard days work. The other 10% is just when i just dont feel like takin a car wherever i need to go

Well, I guess right now that's true (more commuting than recreational). But in the Spring/Summer I'd put atleast 400 canyon miles on the weekends, and prob match that with commuting everywhere during the week, so it's an even 50/50 trade.

 

90% recreational. I'll take it to work occassionally because I work at a garage and I can park it right outside the garage, it never leaves my site. I dont take it to anywhere like the mall or movies though. Sometimes if I have a lot of small errands to run Ill take the bike but 90% for fun/stress relief.

I picked mostly rec, occasional commute, basing my decision on number of miles traveled. My commute is only about 5-10 miles, I usually ride for about 120-150 miles in the canyons.

 

I use it to commute to and from work 6 days a week, and school 1 night a week, plus lots and lots of recreational riding once I'm off work and virtually all day on sundays, LOL. My daily commute is about 50 miles, bought the bike a month ago with 3 miles on it, now at 3900
