I have a 92 DA with 230k... When should the muffler be replaced?

 

u only replace it if its rusted up and has leaks or u just want to replace it with an aftermarket. other than that, u dont have to replace it.

yup...or if u start failing emissions tests....

 

muffler has nothing to do with emissions

Depending on where. I just passed my emissions today w/ a borla exhaust that had a loud *** hum when he held it at 2500rpms...

Or if you were just referring to replacing the muffler, then yea, usually if it starts making noise or if you really feel like putting a new one on there. I have my old one with the piping from the cat back if you're interested.

 

Just get it tested...if it has leaks then get a new one and if they say its fine then leave it unless uu just really want to get a new one
