96 bumper removal
I just got into an accident, and my bumper has shifted a few inches toward the passenger side.
I tried removing the bumper last night with no luck.
I was able to remove the front spoiler and some of the plastic underneith the car.
I also removed the blinker lights and found the 5mm hex screwes. I took both of those off but it didn't seem to help in removing anything.
It seems I might need to remove the headlight assy. but I looked at that for about an hour and couldn't figure out how to remove the lights.
Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Kory

i dont need to take off the headlights to take off my bumper.... i had a bolt on each side where the bumper connects to the fender... and 2-3 screws upfront.
did you have to remove anything else to get access to the bolts by the fender, or the screws up front??
I can't seem to get access to the bolts that look like they hold the mounts (or stays) to the frame. I didn't even see any bolts by the fenders... I'm not a very good at cars... but I still feel I should be able to take a bumper off.
Thanks,
Kory

hmm for my 95 .. theres 8 boths behind the bumper support ( i dink dats wat its called) unbolt those and the whole thing will come right off.. but you still have to remove the screws frum the side of the fenders, and the grill,
there are 9 plastic screws on the bumper.. 2 under each headlight.. try not to break the plastic screws.. they cost $2.00 each.. cheap but save yourself some money.. hopefully it helps.. n once again i could be wrong..

there are some plastic clips under the headlight..i used a flat head to pry them off so i didnt have to take off the headlights...theres also a screw under the side parking lights...and 1 by the wheel well..and underneath...there are some connected to that plastic protectant thang...
The bumper removal is much easier than everyone here is saying. There is a screw behind each bumper lense. You will need a long phillipshead for this. Then after you remove the bumper lenses, there are large bolts (either 16 or 18 mm). Remove those. Then there is one more screw at the end of the bumper where it meets the fender.
Then just slide the bumper off. Not hard at all.

What do you mean by "bumper lense"??? Are you talking about the blinker lense??
