Place Racing Crossmember w/ Hasport mounts.
I'm just asking if anyone knows if this will work? I'm using Hasport motor mounts, but I've heard there are slight variations in height and/or where the motor sits with either kit. I'm just curious to konw if anyone has used the Place Racing front crossmember w/ the front tranny mount with the Hasport kit. Thanks for any help.
First off, Place Racing is out of business.
That said, It would be easy to get it to all work. There are two "side plates" that come with the Place Racing cross-member that are made of flat plate steel. You would have to make up different ones to take care of the different engine placement. You would also have to space them out using washers.

Oh damn, when did that happen?

I'm not sure exactly when Place went under, but about a month ago there was a string about it. One of the people on this board even drove by there and the shop is something else.
It may be possible to find a dealer that still has the cross-member in stock, but if you order it over the phone have them VERIFY that they really do have it!
Another thing about the cross-member; when Place was selling them, they were including the front mount for free. Try to get it also.

thanks for your helpful reply.... anyways
ive had the place crossmember on my car w/ hasport mounts for a year and a half now, but i never put on the front engine mount b/c its not really needed. if your just lookin for alot more room in the engine bay and the ability to run a 92-95 radiator then the crossmember is great especially for the price. good luck finding one though

I personally have the HAPORT mount (1st gen) working with the place cross-member and front tranny mount. I too thought it would not work, but it fit with no modification whatsoever. Motor definately feels more solid in the engine bay.

Thank guys for all the help. I rode in a few EFs with Place Racing mounts and they seemed to ride just fine, but then I rode in a CRX with Hasport Mounts and I just liked the way it felt a lot better, I just like to have my motor as secure as possible.
Call me an idiot or whatever, I'm just the type of guy that's paranoid about things.
