Default Bike Sitting

Well today i headed out to Young America where they sell lots of new and a few used motorcycles. Im new here at HT, and for the last year or so i have been real interested in getting a good starter bike. So today i had an hour or more to kill so i went and sat on the bikes. I love the crotch rockets like gsx, Cbr, ninja, R6, R1 but i sat on a few CBR600RR and the seats suck butt. ( i could never sit on that for more than an hour ) but the normal CBR600 seat was nice. i could sit on that for a few hours. I saw on a ninja 250 and 500 and wow that is a small bike but i sat on a few R1 and wow that is a huge bike with more power i could ever handle. Suzuki had a few nice bikes with good passenger seat but really this bike is for me.

I also sat on a few cruizer bikes and they are nice but i can always go to a bike like that someother time esp when i have the money later down the road. But now im looking for that rocket that i can spend a good summer or two on just having fun and then maybe move on. Anyway i just wanted to say that i had a good afternoon doing this even though the bikes were only 1/2 year old or a full year old and they were still expensive $6500-$8000 for a sale bike That is why im looking for a used one. But that can be another topic.
Thanks.

Ya, you pretty much cannot go wrong with any company these days. Suzuki, Kawi, Yamaha, and Honda are all really good. It's also good that you sat on them and got a feel. I agree with you on the 600rr's stiff seat. I have a 600rr myself, and the seat is just dam painful. However, your butt will break in...hahahahha. Personally, I'm a Honda guy, and I don't have much taste for kawis. But that's just me. They're all fairly good tehse days. I still say get the 600rr and get a Corbin seat on it

I have seen your post on you selling your bike and it looks awesome. I even like the color green. But i think that 700cc+ is a bad move for a first time bike rider unless you can convince me wrong. I mean it is a great price.

I don't think a '95 ZX-7R has much more power than a new 600. I say go for it!

As long as you respect the throttle and respect the bike you will be fine. But there are more possibilities to go wrong but if you're wise, less will happen. I started on an 1100, although it was a 91 with the same power as a current 600, I respect the bike.

I think in wisconsin there is different insurance once you step over 700cc ( its either 700 or 750cc ) most insurance doubles or higher. Well maybe this winter sometime i can come check out your bike and see it in person. ( i dont know how to ride one yet... that is my only set back )
