Default Easy To Steal? Or A Waste of a thieves time....

In my car I have:
LCD CAR Alarm with engine Kill.
Kill Switch
And a clutch lock.

Do you think a thieve will want to still my car or try? And is it possible to steal my car? When you lift my hood and you find where the alarm wires are they are actually welded in a box and not visible unless you have a blow torch to cut my alarm wire.

And the kill switch is VERY small and trust me. Its impossible to find. So if you think a thieve can get through this let me know...

If somebody wants your car bad enough they will find a way to steal no matter what. Besides professional car theives have ways of getting around all that stuff. But it will keep the amatuer theifs out of your car.

And another things if anyone knows.

If you're 18 and older and get caught stealing a car what is the penalty now-a-days? Might be dumb question but if someone knows please respond.

the guy who got my car had prior offenses and 6 counts against him including mine. he got all of 4 years probation and restitution to pay out. he is still stealing and everyone still knows it but nothing is done.

i have said this before and i will say if again. the police do not care that people are stealing cars like ours. they feel like we have it coming since we are all a bunch of stupid street racers anyway. i wish you could have heard the conversation i had with the cop when i reported my car stolen. he was such an ******* and could have given two *****.

You live in the NW man. Vehicle theft is real high around here. Garage it and secure it up as if you knew someone was gonna steal it.

Im never that far away from my car. Im either at work and even in my work I can remote start my car from inside and get LCD pages. Trust me I allread tested it with my friend. 2nd I welded a thick piece of metal on each of the following:

Clutch - Has Clutch Lock also
Brake
Gas

Oh and even if I was 9999999 Miles away from my car it would still send the car in a §SIREN§. Setting the kill switch to activate. So the only option would be to tow the car. But at my work thats not possible. I park next to cops. and its to small for somone to post up a tow-truck and at my house I live in a gated yard with my car in the garage.

You just basically hinted everyone in on what you have. Nothing is theft proof. If someone wanted your car bad enough.. they'll swoop down in a helicopter and lift your car off the face of this planet. Just make sure you have layers of security and keep them a secret. Don't go around telling everyone what you have because you never know who's reading.

I had seven different security devices on my car and it was parked in a secured parking lot with camera's and security guards. It got stolen with no broken glass and nothing on tape, and was never found.

Is this really worth it? I cant imagine going out with my girl and being like "honey can you move your leg I need to pull my ecu" There are so many better ways to protect your car then pulling your ecu eveyrwhere you go, sounds like a huge pain in the ***. How about just paying the extra 30bucks/month for comprehensive?

Dang aren't you forgetting the other half of your life? Don't tell me you're at home or at work everyday. Trust me, nothing is fully secure.

That's why I say **** the police. Always carry something with you to do your own justice cuz that's all there is.

As far as your car, you should be researching and adding to the security constantly just as you do with all other modifications.

Even if they never find the switch, its easy enough to find the wires and bypass the switch.

Your car can still easily be stolen, but I think you may be asking the right question. Is it enough deterrence to make your car not worth the effort? Or do you have that car slammed with $4000 worth of parts?

You're an idiot if you think that vigilante justice is the best/only way. Go play in the highway.

BTW, if you do have a "state of the art" alarm/theft deterent system and it still gets stolen atleast you know that either a newb had to work his *** off or a professional wanted your car. Still sucks donkey ***** though.
