How is it possible for a fairly new 33,000 car to have just its Rims, seats and stereo taken and salvage it.
Sorry, but I wave the "BS" flag on this one...

TECHNICALLY almost all ins. companies will salvage any car with interior peices missing especially seats....<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by collateral »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Wow, I find it hard to believe that they salvaged a "2003" S2000 just cause of "few" minor parts missing (ie seats, wheels and stereo) When my girlfriend "2001" Integra gsr had its COMPLETE interior, rims, spoiler and front headlights and bumper, 14,300 claim and they still proceeded to fix it.

they shouldn't have done that you should have fought for a salvaged car in this instance, my fiance is a manager at a major ins company and we have had a ton of convo's about why they do this

There more skilled in this level then I was. If Im not mistaken, Insurance companys go on the percentage of damage done to the vehicle. If the the price to fix the car is at a certain where its almost at its value..then they go ahead and salvage the car.
Just my .02, just still finding it hard to believe that S2000 was salvaged over such little parts.

HOLD UP! Do some research before you make any kind of allegations. Insurance companies sometimes salvage cars for no apparent reason. I've seen cars w/ just a missing stereo and a broken ignition receive a salvage title. It's all case by case. However, there is a percentage that most companies follow: Take a look at these pics of a car that an insurance company deemed salvage:
