usually when you put the key in the ignition, it makes the beeping noises right? well not too long ago i replaced my starter and forgot to disconnect the negative terminal to the battery, therefore resulting in a huge spark when the wrench came into contact with the block. (while trying to remove the nut from the starter) i disconnected the negative terminal and then continued to install the starter. car starts up, no problem at all.. but ever since then, the beeping noise went away.. so when i put the key in, you can hear the fuel pump..... then cd player.. no more beeps.. anybody know what this could be?

 

is there anything else that doesnt work?......like your horn?.....if so, check your fuses.

 

everything else works fine man. power window/lock, AC/heater, interrior/exterrior lightings, honk, radio.. and etc. ive only checked the starter signal fuse, and that was okay, the other fuses i havent checked. im pretty sure ive short circuited something...

 

mine all the sudden stopped beeping too and i didnt mess around with anything...

leave it like that, those beeps are annoying..
but it most likely is a fuse or relay of some sort..

 

is the door open or closed?

does it make noise when you open the door?

do you have your seat belt on?

i dont think this is directly related to the spark you created making the wrench come into contact with the body.

 

before, with all doors shut, the car would still beep when the key is first put in the ignition. or when i open the door with the key in the off position. but now i dont get any beeps for crap! not that i like it, its annoying and all but im pretty sure theres a reason why it went away...

 

When I get into my GS-R and turn the ignition on, there is beeping. It beeps for about 10-15 seconds. I can make the noise go away right away though when I put on my seatbelt.

So my guess is the beeping is for your seatbelt.

 

yeah the thing is i didnt put on my seat belt.. still no beeps.. lol

it was probably your maintenance light beeping. Each time you get your oil changed there is a cute little button under your steering column that gets pressed to reset it. Then after a certain amount of miles your car will beep when you put the keys in to let you know maintencance is required. When you disconnected the started it probably reset itself.

 

"cute little button" ! lol.......i dont know whats beepin in your car, but my maint light sure doesnt beep!

 

how about the abs fluid? i know mine beeps from time to time and its because the abs fluid is alil low.

 

what is abs fluid?

i never heard a honda or acura beep for low brake fluid.
