Did only the Pre-98 JDM ITR Tranny's come with both a 4.4 final drive AND the LSD?

Incorrect....unless he wrote his question wrong it directly wants to know if only the Pre-98's came with the 4.40 and LSD! 98+ definitely has LSD as well .

Edit: If he knew that all came with LSD's then the question should have asked, Do all Pre-98's have the 4.40 FD?

 

Besides the FD, '96 & '98 Spec R tranny has different 4th & 5th gears. Basically, the USDM R tranny is same as '96 Spec. '98 Spec has same as GSR 4th & 5th with 4.785 FD.

I wonder how many Japanese guys are out there thinking,

"Damn yo, I gotta get the UDSM 4th and 5th gear for my R!"

Personally I'd rather have the closer gears, which I'm assuming the 98+ US ITR has compared to 98+ JDM ITR.

the 98s+ dont have 4.4. what i meant to say was that all the 96-97 have 4.4 and lsd, and that is the same with all ctr trannies, are you the only that was confused by my response.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Assuming USDM, all ITR came with 4.40 axle ratio.

The "EK"-like B16 motor CTR did not necessarily have an LSD. It depended on the market. It was an option in some markets.

Personally, I think the 4.78 axle with USDM fourth and fifth is a very nice performance enhancement.
