4th generation preludes don't have roof mounted antennae - they're all on the rear passenger side quarter panel. I believe you need to take out the trunk lining, and there are 2 or 4 bolts. Disconnect the harness and reconnect it to the new antenna, and that's about it.

Hey, its in the trunk on the right side.... take the inner cover off and you will see the motor. You will have to take the ring off on the antenna first. I will have four cuts on it. You will need a speacial tool to turn it and when you do, unbolt it from the inside and unhook the wire plug. Now remove and install the new one!
lol
yeah go buy a 50$ tool from snap on to put on your 150$ antenna .. lol
no no
lol
not really needed sorry man this is tupposed to help people who are poor lol
step 1 get a good cloth (special tool #1)
step 2 get a flat head screw driver and on the outside of your car where tha antenna is there is a little round thing that looks like a cover with two little slits in it...(atleast mine does)
put the screw driver on one of the slits.. and hit it counter clockwise..
should loosen..(oooh put the cloth in front of the screwdriver so you dont scratch your rear quarter pannel)
step 3 remove the inner lining on the drivers side from the trunk.. should take off the spare cover makes it a little easier somewhat lol
step 4 remove the connector on the back of the power antenna *push in tab and pull)
step 5 rip out the 2.. or 4 bolts.. then the whole thing should pull out.. (10 or 12 mill bolts need a socket wrech
step 6 go to step 1-5 backwards..
ps. make sure the radio is off will prob burn a fuse if you reconnect the antenna while your radio is on
