i have a pivot vtec controller and when i hooked it up my check engine light came on and vtec would not kick in. the vtec controller is brand new but they told me that it does not work but it does turn on. does any1 know of a place where the can fix or check out the vtec controller to see if its any good?

Find a specialized tuner shop...most shops that can tune turbos etc will most likely tune vtec controllers. If anything, call local shops (not Pep Boy's, but something Import driven) and they should be able to direct you in the right area, considering theyre in the biz'.
