is my convertor welded?
ok im buying a testpipe but the guy wants me to take off my cat since its illegal. blah blah. long story short. is it welded or can i jsut bolt it off? dont go on talking about dont get test pipe plz. waste of ur time

well first, based on the way you said it. you have to take off you cat, its illegal not to have one but thats another story. the cat should just unbolt, it will take some wd-40 and either a big hammer or air tools.

I bet it would have taken 1/2 the time it took to write this post to just look under the car and see that your cat is bolted on. Should be 2 bolts in the front 3 in the back. Get some WD40 (or better yet PB Blaster) and soak the bolts first. Depending on how much rust there is you may end up breaking some bolts.

Same thing I was gonna say, the only way its gonna be welded on is if you had it replaced before.

The spring bolts are not that bad actually, the other bolts usually just break on me. I'm working on something right now to fix that problem.
