Hey guys i went on my search today for H4 harnesses for my jdm headlights and that was successfull! To bad i couldnt find the H1 harnesses ANYWHERE! No shops had em, pep boys, advanced, none of them man so while i was at the junk yard i spotted a special edition! The one that has the black out gauge cluster and its digital once you turn the car on?? get me? Well anyways sure enough i pulled it and tried to hook it up to my car, 3 out of 4 plugs fit but one doesnt?? I even grabbed the relay system. Do i have to go back and grab the wires and splice em or somethin? My stock one turns on and revs fine with only 3 plugs what the hell is wrong with this picture.. I know someone smart is going to reply real fast. Thanks guys!

 

Special edition preludes did not have different gauge clusters than the 94 - 96 preludes. They were all electroluminescent displays. Also, since when did the gauges have harnesses that fit the headlights?? If so, then I had no idea.

The H4 harnesses has 3 female connectors, which can also be used for the H1 harnesses. The H1 only has 2 male connectors, but you can still mate it to the H4 one as long as you don't connect the unused terminal.

 

get the whole dash harness for the guages, the one that goes the whole way across the dash...did it inmy 92 s and it was plug and play

 

Haha i kind of meshed those 2 together. One topic was about the jdm headlights and another was about the gauge cluster, i have a 95 prelude gauge cluster that is boring and there is another one. I guess you called it the electroilluminscent display or whatever? I want that one its a nice touch. But my question was answered for my headlights! Thanks! Ill just go back and buy some more H4 harnesses

 

yeah, the EL guages kick ***(correct, electrolumnescent) You can wire them up to work, but I'm a plug and play man myself hehehe

I agree with you, I've been looking for another 4th gen and all the 93 VTEC's I find I can't stand the ugly guage cluster and the center console

 

you must have a car that used to be a prelude S, they didnt have EL guages no matter what year.....you can search to find out how to wire them to work, or you can buy the whole dash harness, inverter(little box behind the driver side tweeter cover), and the guages....
