how often can a tps fail on a 1990 crx si? some days the check engine light will come one and some days it never comes on. I check the ecu and time and time again I get a code 7.

I just want to make sure tps failures are not uncommon so I can dump a pile of change to get it fixed.

might be the plug coming loose, or dirty. the ecu will throw a code if it sees that the tps gets disconnected.
