Default Clutch cable installation Q (pics inside) Please help!!!

88 std... clutch cable end ring snapped. Bought new cable, put it in, then at the end that goes to the tranny, the release shaft has a sort of like a hook at the end. This holds the cable's bushing (at the end) I could not get teh bushing to go all the way in.. looks like this

It looks like this... IT IS A CLAMP TO SHOW YOU HOW EXACTLY THE POSITION.

It looks like this now

SO, DOES IT HAVE TO BE ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM???? Help please
Clutch works but I just don't feel like it's 100% secured

when you installed it did you install the part that goes to the tranny first or did you connect the cable to the back of the pedal first? you have to install the part bty the tranny first for it to fit.

I tried both. And im thinking that the release shaft end goes between the base of the bushing and the end of the cable (pic 2)
I dunno, I'll have to find another ed6 or old civic and see how it's mounted.

FOUND IT!!
How lucky am I? I walked around the parking lots (apt complex) and there was another ED6!!! Got down and touched it. The release shaft end goes above the golden ring. (pic 3) So for right now, the shaft is wearing out the bushings I'll get that done tomm tho... Thanks anyways if u read this.
