trade w/friend for s2000?
I have a friend with a 2001 S2000, 55k miles with a supercharger and titanium exhuast that wants to trade with me. Me = 2001 ITR 48k stock.
If you were me, would you do it?? Yes, no, maybe so?

You can always trade the ITR for a C6 and then an F40... whoops that was another thread.

Yeah. Pretty much. Reflect on why you bought the R in the first place... why you kept it stock... etc. Do a test drive of the s2000. I'd be tempted to keep the R but I have never driven an S2000.
I assume your friend is looking to sell/trade in his Car, and figures he'll get more money for a stock R? He's probably right.

I own both cars (stock S2K and an ITR that is my race car).
I love them both for different reasons, however, I would almost never buy a modified car. I guess I am just paranoid.

lol.
trading the R for a C6 even trade isnt a realistic scenario. no dealership will take a type R for a brand new vette.
actually my friend already sold the s2k for $17k
just wanted to see how you guys would respond to this offer because that was his offer to me.

This is what I was thinking.

I too have both an ITR and S2K. I love both cars for diferent reasons. They are both fun to drive daily and to take to the track. There is no real space in the S2k, and driving the S2K on a long trip sucks. Id much rather take my R on a long trip, and my wife, who sits in the passenger side agrees. The S2K has a lot of noise with the top up, and I find that annoying after a while.
I met a guy recently who bought a mint mint s2k from my friend. The buyer ended up supercharging it, and driving the **** out of it. Now the tranny is fucked and there are vaccuum leaks all over the place.
I wouldn't trade my ITR for that!
