don't quote me on this but it should work just fine..

my 99 trunk mechanism broke in the rear so the latch doesn't work.. i have to pop it open using my key everytime... it should be like that with your older teg trunk on your 99.... not sure about fitment issues though

94 - 97 hatch has a shorter lock bar (metal piece which forms a loop and locks into your trunk). Take the lock bar off of your 98+ hatch should be a 2 bolts and bolt it on the the c/f hatch where the 94-97 lock bar was.

The name lock bar was made up because i dont know what its called

I think you might be talking about a different thing tho...

i think he's referring to the latch... 98+ integras (3dr) when you unlock your car.. you can open your hatch by moving the latch over to the left... i don't think pre 98 have this option

yeah i have that same issue right now..its a bitch when my hands are full and i have to turn the key..let it pop and then slide the latch while the key is still turned....ive gotten it down to a science now and can do it with one hand haha.

but in a thread i made prior to this one....Integrt mentiond

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Integrt &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">c u have to understand the reason that it is 94-97 is because the hatches are the same for 94+ except for certain parts... the 94-97 hatch will not work on a 98+ integra...

94-97 hatches unlatch from inside the car from a lever whereas the 98+ integras have a lever on the bottom of the hatch on the outside.. i called VIS and they said that we may be able to use parts from a 94-97 hatch to make it work but they didn't know for sure</TD></TR></TABLE>

any ideas?

Please, the question was how to make it work, not if they make a 98+ one. (which they don't in the first place)

i have a 98 teg and i was rear ended and needed a new hatch.. so i got a 96 jdm rear hatch w/o the movable latch so to open my hatch i have to use the key each time.. should be the same on your 99 w/ carbon fiber..

my fitment was fine but i have an OEM hatch not cf so not sure about fitment issues there
