Default PCV issues

I broke the PCV valve installing my AEBS intake manifold. I realize the purpose of this valve but is it needed? Should I buy another one or just bypass it with a hose? I have heard that the stock PCV's are barely sufficient and can go bad without warning. If this is the case it seems bypassing it with a straight hose would be better. Thanks.

If you don't put a PCV valve in there, you could end up with a surging idle and a car that fails the sniffer test. They're like $4, go for it.

I'd run it. I got one from napa for like 5 bucks. Honda/Acura seems to want like 10+ for it

I'm not eliminating it and blocking it off, I'm bypassing it with a hose so the vapors are still being sucked into the intake...there's just no valve in between. Straight hose = more flow, no chance of PCV failure (obstruction). The only negative I see with a straight hose is maybe oil seaping up into the intake.

Oil already does seep into the intake, through the PCV. Honestly, I wouldn't disrupt the system.
