Default Where is the fuel cut off?

I was driving back from work tonight and I got the car up around 7k rpms in 2nd and the rpms dropped, came back, and dropped again, then I let off the gas 'cause it startled me. It made think that that is where the fuel cut off was, but I was not even up to the redline. The car is a '93 Prelude Vtec, all stock.

VTEC reads about 8000 on a stock tach.

you may be experiencing something else.

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. Most of the time it is because I'm ****** around on some wet pavement, and the rpm go up REALLY quick...

I don't think it's a huge deal, and in my opinion it is a safety of sorts. I am glad everytime that I hit the fuel cut off because it puts me back in check to say.

If anyone knows why the fuel cutoff kicks in randomly (assuming the car is war and everything else appears fine) please let us know!

I wouldn't know if it was throwing codes or not. It seems to run fine and it just passed NYSI.

your car stopped and let off the gas becuase vtec wasnt engaging, your engine was prob cold, or you dont have enough oil in it.
