Mugen Twin Loop on turbo GSR????
i posted this question somewhere else, but didn't get anywhere. I want to know if the Mugen Twin Loop exhaust is suitable for forced induction? I know its a lot of money, but I like the way it looks and the way it sounds....its not loud! I want to know if this exhaust system is too restrictive for when I boost my GSR? I was also considering the HKS Drager exhaust, but I was told that its too loud, besides, i've never seen one on a DC2 before....so dont' know what it would look like either.
Anyone have any of these two exhausts on their car? Do u think the Mugen would cause problems if I turboed my car?

I don't think the mugen twin loop will be too restrictive for a mild turbo setup.
I have the JDM ITR version on my GSR and the piping is 2.5" and looks very
stout.

Yea, someone told me the same thing at lastnite's meet. If I buy it I will have to replace it when I turbo my car.....so what would you recommend?
What do you think about the HKS Drager? Would it be too loud?

I dynoed my car open header and with my mugen exhuasr on and it made minimal difference. I believe that i pushed out 212whp open headers and like around 208 with full mugen twin loop exhuast. That was my person experience but i dont know how well it will do on a turbo setup. Im sure for a stock motor boosting 7lbs you should be fine.

same. i had the jdm itr and it was 2.36". maybe diameter including the piping was 2.5" but subtract the width of the pipe it sits at 2.36"

for the exhaust, it all depends on what you are wanting to do with your car. i would recommend bigger piping if you are planning boost high. i know that the thermal has a turbo catback exhaust (3" i believe) and the greddy has also come out with a turbo catback exhaust. but i was only boosting 5lbs on my 98 civic ex and i was using the greddy evo1 and it was fine.

IF i was staying all motor that would definitely be the one I would go with.

I just got my Mugen Twin Loop today, will post some pics later. The exhaust has nice bends and welds I don't see any bottlenecks in the design, I think it would be a good exhaust for whatever the application be.
