Default Which one to get?

I'm about to install a water temperature gauge on my H23, but I want to install an adapter onto the water outlet connecter, instead of drilling a hole in it for the sensor. Is the correct size 36mm or smaller? Here's a link:

Thanks

So 36MM is the correct size? Also, is cutting the radiator hose really necessary? Other than getting a replacement one, would it be possible to bend the hose?
