how to tell if its a JDM ITR tranny???

how to tell if its a JDM ITR tranny???
im gonna be buy a JDM ITR tranny and need to know if its a real one or fake one... is there anything on the tranny that would tell me that its a JDM ITR one besides the vin and tranny casing??? please help me out... thanks

Well any JDM tranny won't have a VIN plate. VINs are specific to North America.
Like this one....
The tranny casing will have an LSD stamp (JDM and USDM):

Also, if you can see through the tranny where the axles go without any obstruction, then it has a factory LSD (JDM and USDM).

As for the final drive, you'd have to tear down the tracnny and do the math.......
