Am I correct in assuming that you are having trouble getting the rear bolts off? The main engine mount bolt is easy to get to and so are three of the four mount bolts that hold the mount to the chassis. But one of them is had to get to with a wrench.

If you are having trouble taking the 2 rear bolts of try this: 3/4" ratchet, 12" extension, swivel adapter amd a shallow socket for the bolt (forget what size that bolt is. Attach the extension to your ratchet first, then put the swivel adapter on the end, with the socket on last. You can get to the rear bolt by positioning the ratchet directly above it so that the extension is going straight down. Stick your finger through the small space between the base plate and the bushing to put the socket onto the bolt.

Sounds confusing, but hopefully you can make out my instructions. If not, I cant take a pic with my tools and the old rear mount which I still have laying around.

Stick a box wrench through the front, one with an offset helps.

I dropped the cross member down on mine. I took the bolts out on the right side and lossened the ones on the left side. It let it move around enough for a extension, socket, and wobble. I had to use a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter to break mine loose. If you have any other questions just ask. I got mine in a few weeks ago. You'll the the power in 5th. It's great I can pass cars on the highway without downshifting.

You dropped the rear subframe? That must have sucked.

At first I tried droppedcrxsi's method, but I couldn't get it to work. then after looking at it for a while I was able to take off the rear bolts the way I described above. I dont know why you did that htough since it can be taken off without dropping the rear subframe.

ok, hopefully these pics will show up. My digicam battery was running low, so I had to take the pics quickly. Just try to imagine the white box as the firewall. I used a 3/4" ratchet with a 10 inch extension, a swivel adapter and the proper size shallow socket.

There are 3 bolts securing the rear mount to the rear subframe. Two of the bolts are easily reached however the third one is a lot harder to get to. If droppedcrxsi's method doesn't work and you dont want to drop the rear subframe use this method. look at the last bolt from directly above and find a path leading down to it. You will have to snake your extension down past or through the heater control or heater hoses. But you CAN get to the bolt this way. Once you snake your socket down to the bolt then just wiggle and turn the socket until it goes over the bolt.

Trust me this will work!!! you are really close to the firewall , heater control box and hoses and fuel lines, but it does work!
