guys plz bare with me im really new to the teg's i just bought a '90 ls and the pass. side door lock was "jammed" and i need to replace it i got a new cylnder but i know that i will need to get it re-keyed, does anyone know how much that should set me back? and also how can i go about installing it? thank you for any info

buy a lock cylinder out of a junk car somewhere. then take it to a locksmith withthe key and lock cylinder from the good side. he will be able to rekey it to work with your cars existing key. probably less than 75 bucks for everything.

 

how can i remove the bad one from the car?

 

remove the door panel and then take out the two bolts that hold the handle in unclip the rods and remove handle. after it is out you will see a small silver clip that holds in the lock cyl. remove the clip and the lock cyl will pretty much fall out.

 

You will need to remove the glass to make it easier. it's not hard just takes time.
small hands will be good.
