Default CAN YOU USE SATURATED INJECTORS ON A 98 5th gen

i really need to know if i can use the set of brand new 550cc saturated rc injectors on my 5th gen. i've had mixed reports to this subject. are there other people out there that have used saturated injectors on there preludes or other H22s?

thanks

5th gens use saturated injectors already (OEM)...

Saturated injectors has a slower response time (and closing time) than a peak and hold injectors. If you use peak and hold injectors, you'll need an external resistor pack...

you will need something to control the bigger injectors

which essentially turns the peak-hold injectors into saturated injectors

the 550cc injectors are being used for what? n/a ? turbo , nitrous? if so how many psi?

1. honda injectors are high impedence saturated injectors (oem)
2. never listen to anyone who says dsm injectors will work on your honda with out any modification, they are peak and hold and low impedence which requires a resistor pack that hacks up your injector harness.
3. the 550cc injectors can be controlled by the stock ecu.. you dont need a remapped ecu to controll them... if you go any higher then you will need a EMS

1. Wrong. Some early Honda uses low impedance injectors. That's why they have the resistor box.
3. Wrong. You will not even idle for more than 30 mins without getting a Code 45 with the stock ECU. Where do you get your info anyway?

will a code be thrown on an obd1 ecu with 440cc injectors?

Thanks

Yes. If you have 240cc stock injectors, then you will see the CEL very quickly.

I understood your question. If your stock injectors are 240cc and you are replacing them with 440cc. The ECU will continue to fire the injectors with the same duration as stock injectors, which means the engine will be flooded with more fuel than it can burn. The O2 sensor will signal the ECU to trim fuel as it's detecting rich A/F condition. But once the max fuel trim is reached, ECU triggers a CEL.
