91 1500 cc motor tired

motor runs fine up to about 2000 rpm , any higher and just boogs and black smoke. I checked the compression and is about 180 psi . Nothing flashing on ecu. Fuel pressure is ok . This motor has high mileage.

Fuel system cleaner? Air filter change? Cat converter clogged? Those are all simple ones.
