Default sweet... found an LS for $150...

I just got off the phone with the junkyard and they are taking out a '90
LS B18a engine for me. I'm picking it up tomorrow for only $150.

The guy told me it was overheating and the headgasket was gone, since they did a compression test and number 2-3 cylinders were low.

I really don't care, I'm gonna take it apart and put a vtec head on it. then the turbo comes into play... I have a full DRAG kit sitting in the garage and that will finish the project. Now looking for GSR t. belt, w. pump, oil pump, and other misc. stuff for the engine.

? who sell ARP rod bolts the cheapest?
Also I can get the GSR/Typ R rod bolts for cheap, will they fit flush?

Thanks for the info...

Now why does it matter how cheap you can get the rod bolts? You just stole a motor for next to nothing, lol. BTW, check in the sponser's forums to see what type of deal you can get on them as the prices are constantly changing (relative). Also, I don't know if the bolts from the B18C1 & C5 will work in your application, but why not just get ones for the B18A1?

i got my ls rods bolts on here for 35 shipped from some guy in the sponsor market forum. I'm pretty sure the b18c ones dont work because they are 9mm and the LS are 8mm and there is already resizing involved when putting the 8mm in.

thanks for the info... I don't know if I'm keeping the turbo or not. It's on sale on the classified section(FI). Anyways I'm picking the motor on Saturday... we'll see what happens!

$50 for the rod bolts.. I'll let you know!

I don't know if I got you beat, but I got my b18a bottom block for 50$, I had to pull it out myself though. Which took 1 hour with a help of a friend.
