Ive got 2 problems from my car (98 ls); the first is that when im drinving ill sometimes hear this light metal on metal type of scraping noise. It sounds like its coming from the from left wheel. If i go faster the noise gets faster as well which leads me to believe that its something to do with the rotor scraping something. I took a look today and couldnt find anything. Any suggestions?
THe bigger problem is the oil leak. WHen i got under my car today i saw that the entire front left section was covered in oil. IT goes from the front of the oil pan all the way back to the front sway bar. I checked the oil filter and no leak there. I dont think its from the oil pan bolt because the oil is all around the rim where the pan connects to the block. Only possible lead i have on that is that the last time i did an oil change i reused the old crush washer.

oil pan gasket would be where i'd look

 

the scraping sounds liek the"dust" sheild on the backside of the rotor rubbing slightly,doesnt take much to bend those in just abit and it will start scraping like that.

oil leak sounds like oil pan gasket,or possibly from the oil filter itself possibly? running down the backside of the motor.prolly one or the other.
