I gathered enough money yesterday to finally buy the used Ohlins suspension that I found 2 weeks ago at a used car-parts shop (I put a deposit down on them 2 weeks ago to prevent others from buying them).
This set, brand new, costs 140,000 Baht (US$3500)- but I got it used, and in very good condition, for 35,000 Baht (US$875) - an absolute bargain - the previous owner of the suspension asked the owner of the car-parts shop to sell them for him, as had them sitting around in his house for about a year doing nothing (sold his evo with stock suspension, and removed this set)
Arguably one of the best brand names of suspension in the world, even better than Tein in my opinion.. (I've sat in lots of Tein suspensioned cars, and none of them come close to the amazing handling and response that I've experienced from Ohlins)

And a really nice pic I just took a minute ago of the car with the suspension installed. Now my car sits at an even height at the front and rear! (It may still look high off the ground in the following pic, but the angle I took the shot at was a weird one.. there's only about a 1" gap between the tire and the wheel well.)

The suspension is extremely adjustable (bounce and rebound also adjustable) and has totally transformed my car. Highly recommend them to anyone who can afford them

I would pick Tein over Ohlins anyday. What about if you want to service them? I sold the same ones you had for $600 for EK9. IMO they are over rated. Ohlins should stick to motorcycle suspension. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Good or bad spring rates, the combination works perfectly in my Evo. One corner I used to only be able to take at 90km/h without sliding is now possible at 120km/h. High speed driving is stable, and the ride is smooth, not bouncy, which is amazing considering how hard i've set the suspension at the front (rear only being just a tad softer).
Servicing is not a problem - there is a suspension shop here who is capable of fixing all types of suspension - they also specialize in Gab, Tein, and Ohlins repairs and overhauls, so i'm not particularily worried about the repairs bit.
I've been through a lot of suspension in the past, and have driven many other types of cars with all sorts of suspension. I still say Ohlins is the best i've ever experienced to date..
Still, people are entitled to their own opinions, and my opinion is a huge
