Default Cold air intake for integra gsr.

Does the aem cold air intake make any difference on a stock gsr? Or does it just make loud noise.

You will get some mild gains from using a CAI. You might see an increase of 3-5 hp somewhere in the rpm range, depending on your setup. With a stock motor and no other mods, you will feel and hear a difference, especially in the middle of the powerband, which as known as the AEM/Injen Hump. The most hp gain is noticed in middle of the dyno curve, while a 2-3hp increase might be seen at the peak. So, when comparing peak hp numbers, an SRI and CAI may have similar gains, although the CAI made a significant difference in the middle of the curve. Here is a link to an intake test: http://www.automotivetech.org/...ber=1

Living in Arcadia, you may want a bypass valve to avoid hydrolock. When I lived in DC, I always used a bypass valve, but in SoCal, you probably only need it 10 days out of the year. AEM bypass valves can work with an injen system, but would require careful planning on an iceman intake because of it's tapered design. If I drove a 94+ Integra, I would just buy a Comptech icebox, you get a bit of power and don't have to worry about hydrolock.
