Default Acura Warranty

hey guys i bought an 01 gsr from a dealership and i noticed that the warranty from acura is up to 50k miles and my clutch seems to be getting worse and 3rd gear is starting to grind, im curious is that all covered under the warranty? btw i have no modifications besides an alarm thanks!

The grind might be covered, but the clutch is considered a wear item, so it's just part of your routine maintenance and not covered by warranty. It shouldn't go out at 50k, but you shouldn't have grinding at 50k either - your car was probably driven pretty hard I would think.

Have you tried calling the dealership? Just call one you're not taking the car to.

If you take your car in they will more tha likely tell you that you need a clutch. But if you get a new a clutch and it still happens you better ride thier asses because they'll do anything to avoid having to pay for warranty work.

Just take it to the dealer they will replace your transmission with brand new transmission. On my 99 gsr i blew the whole motor at 30k and the dealer replaced it with a brand new gsr motor at the time when it was under warranty. The only problem is that it takes them a while for the whole process to be completed.
