Default Can I safely bore to 84mm?? (ls block)

Whats the most you can bore a ls block to safely in its stock config?? I will be using a block gaurd, but dont want to have to go into sleeving....can I get 84mm?? Anyone have any experiences with it?

Not even close!

Honda recommends as a MAXIMUM to bore 20 over or 0.020 over (same thing). This will give you a bore size of 81.5mm. This is only for purposes of repair on the cylinder wall, NOT for any performance gain.

If you want/need to go any more, you will need to get aftermarket ductile iron sleeves. In that case, most will allow you to go to 84mm as a maximum on a B18 block.
