Will a Honda dealer service my integra?
Simple question. Im about to call around for prices on timing belt and water pump and im debating weather to buy the parts online seperatly and have a honda/acura/sts type place do it or just have the whole thing done at an acura/honda dealership
that's stupid. what reason would a honda not have for fixing an acura? pop your hood and show them the H.
stupid dealers. my sister takes her integra to a honda regularly for maintenance.
exactly, ive had numerous things done at my local honda dealership. even though the prices are really expensive the do service integras. i do recall looking under the hood and seeing...

call your local dealership and ask for the prices in the parts dept. my dealership sells parts at list prices, so ordered online instead and saved money. acuraparts247.com and acuraautomotiveparts.org are nice sites for discounted oem parts. theres also a honda-tech member named len who works for an acura dealership, he may be able to beat or match their prices.

the honda dealership should do maintance services. but they will not cover warentee most of the time. i know your T-belt and water pump is a maintance service. but they might not have those parts in stock. keep in mind that they will mark up the price on parts if they have to call acura to get it.
the honda dealership i work at will take in any car most of the time. we don't usually encourage it, but money is money. only cars we turn away are kia's because our sister dealership is kia. gotta let them make money too.
if you plan to buy parts and have the dealership install it, FORGET IT! they won't give you parts warentee if you do that, so might as well just get it from the dealership and have them install it right then.
t-belt and water pump is like a 400 job that takes the tech less than an hour
oh well, i gotta get paid too

if he buys oem honda parts, they are warranted and could be cheaper than the dealership. in my case, the links i provided in my above post ended up saving me over $30.

Some Honda dealerships don't carry B18B/C T-belts and water pumps in stock. So they can't change those if they wanted to. However, my Honda dealership services Honda and Acura, only because there's no Acura dealership on the island.

Yeah, I live in Houston and I took my car to a Honda dealership to get maintenanced just because it is closer to my house and it has the best reputation in Houston for a dealership(because we know how shady many of them are). I called and made my appointment and I told them "2000 Acura Integra" and they were like "ok, come on in" They didnt even mention anything about it being "Acura"

are you saying if he buys the parts online and have honda install them that honda will cover it with warentee if something goes wrong? i don't think so. whether they are honda parts or not.
i've seen a guy buy an antenna for his car from our parts department, came to the service department to get it installed, and they didn't warentee it.
sounds weird, but that's what happened.

I've never had a problem servicing my Integra at any Honda dealer. Even though the shop rate is higher, no one really cares. Here, the dealerships are privately owned, so it doesn't make a difference what either shop is charging.

really depends where the dealerships are gonna be located at i guess. are you comparing dealerships that are more than 30 miles apart?

depends on dealer... the honda dealer in my area will do the service but generally the parts have to be brought in...which isnt a prob... to add to dfreezy's list of sites... ck out http://www.ahmotor.com they have the tb/wp as well... avoid buying parts at acura... prices will rape ur wallet... order the stuff from one of those sites
lol. i tried to get new rear LCA bolts for my teg at a Honda dealership .. and they wouldn't sell it to me. they wouldn't even sell me the civic si's rear LCA bolts :\
