Looking to buy a CRX
I'm planning on purchasing a 88-91 CRX next summer.
Any tips on what to look for? Years to avoid? Motors to stay away from? SI or not?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Steve

# 1 thing to look for is rust
# 2 thing to look for is more rust
# 3 rounding out # 3 comes all of the other things like rust rust and rust
Naturally I feel rust is the most important and the body stile depends on what you like I prefer the hf platform myself

The HF is good if you plan on swapping. Otherwise you'll get tired of those 62 ponies REAL quick.
If it were up to me, for a daily driver I'd get an SI. The little things make it nice, the interior, sunroof, rear discs for 90-91, etc.
If you're gonna swap it and make it a race car, or dont care about amenities and just want the lightest, fastest car around, get an HF.
88-89s are lighter, but I prefer the 90-91's myelf. Good luck!

i think he is in canada, he would have either Si or DX...and they didnt get door mounted seatbelts, so really he can get a 90-91 without that much of a weight difference...
