i just got a crx and i wanted to know what mods would be good to start off with ?
Rip the dam air snorkel off if its not already ripped off, take the bumper off and take the air intake resonator off.
Cold air intake, preferrably one with a bypass valve. A good set of tires can make a world of difference even on stock Si rims. There are plenty of dress up items for the interior on various websites and ebay of course. Just keep it stock, most people here are ANTI-RICE and I can't blame them.
Keep it Stock, Keep it Real!
Keep it Stock, Keep it Real!
yea that was my plan to keep it looking stock but all i want it is to be faster....
You don't have to take off the bumper to take the factory intake resinator off. there is a bolt on the in side of your passenger wheel well. Above the resinator, behind your turn signal light in you bumper. You should be able to pop the light out and get to it with a good socket set.
Beats taking off the bumper!!!

^ Before you start ripping and tearing I think you should have a compression test done and start from there. The motor might need a rebuild and you would at least see where you stand. If compression checks out good and you decide to tune the a6 engine you should start by changing all wear parts and maintenance parts. Flush the tranny, change oil/filter, spark plugs/ wires/ timing belt/water pump/ necessary gaskets. Dont jump on the intake bandwagon because your stock airbox with a k&n is pretty sufficient with the resonator box out. Good luck man the a6 Si engine is a nice one!

If you want it to be alot faster, you should defineatley think about a swap or getting your a6 mildly built ..
Me personally..I wouldnt swap it unless I was keepin it for a long time because the value will be lower with a major mod like that..
And you should do something about the suspension..
Maybe some 1-1.5 inch drop springs with kyb/tokico shocks..A decent ride and not very expennsive..and it will handle alot better....
