Could torqueing the bolts back down a little too tight...say about 10 ft-lbs on the cam plate.....could this possibly lead to a blown head gasket...if tightened to tight???

I blew some white smoke out the rear of my car after running it hard...wondering if this could be a possible cause of a blown head gasket....or if it was just its time....or if it even is a blown head gasket...been checking the oil and coolant...coolant looks great...oil has a little bubbles after turning off...but nothing major...need to do an oil change and find out.
