Default Lowering my teg

Well like the topic says..im lowering my integra. The thing is, most spring packages come with a lower front end drop than rear. I was wondering if that henders your cars performance at all because of aerodynamics. Which also brings me to my next point, the back of my car already sits a little lower than stock because of about 100 lbs of speakers and what not in the trunk. I plan on lowering my car 2.5", but should i do say 2.5" in the front and 2.0" in the back because of the weight in the back of the car? Or keep it the same amount of drop all around

neuspeed koni's have a lot of adjustability. 5 pearches for ride adjustment, and some springs of your choice.

well sounds like my problem i had.. i have about an 75+lb bandpass box in my g2 and i have a 2" drop all around.

it really depends on the spring rates you get, the softer you get, the more flex they will have, the stiffer, the less flex.

so if you get stiff spring rates, and have 2.5 front, 2.0 rear, the rear isnt going to go down by much

like marsbike said, if you want more of a precision drop, get koni's cuz you can adjust the perches to get .5 i believe or .25 per perch. what a perch is, is where the bottom half of the spring sits on the shock (a disc type peice)

personally, i have illumina's, which work great, they arent that harsh either, and i think koni's are a bit stiffer then illumina's, then agx's are at the end of the bunch, also the cheapest too. i give them a only cuz they dont offer the rear's for DA's

its all up to you, and what you want, some people dont like the rear of there car to be higher then front cuz the rear at stock heigth looks higher up cuz of the body lines of the car, and having the front lower and the rear a tad bit lower makes it look even worse. plus you got a big wheel gap in the rear on some springs.

hope this helps

be careful...im assuming these shock/spring sets take everything into consideration but heres what happened to me

i got tein basics
got the front on in 30 minutes....but the rlca were rusted over on both sides so i drove around for a week with the front dropped...not too big...but dropped and the rear stock, my center of gravity was alllll fucked up and if i hit like 65 the car would start giving me understeer and ****

other factors to consider than drop height, is spring rate.

being lower at the front is not neccessarily a bad thing. as far i can see, alot of ht rides are actually like that - gangsta lean

but drag cars, are usually set up like this afaik.

Twixt do coil overs and you wont have any problem. You can set the ride hieght anywhere you want.

hit me up on msn if you have any questions

i like coilovers but i see wasted money when you buy them. theres a spring out there that will give you exactly what you want w/o having to spend extra money on coilovers.

its wasted money to me unless you're in autox or going to be using the adjustment of the coilover all the time or frequently.

i say go springs if you're not going to have a heavy driven car. if you corner at high speed's or plan on going autoX then go C/O's, if not, a simple spring and shock combo will work.

oh and dont for get camber. .5-1.5" drop needs a .5-1.5degree camber(not sure of exact measurements), and 1.6+ need's 1.6-3.0+ degree camber

and make sure you use a good set of springs like B&G or something not an ebay special...

(i recommend B&G's cause they have progressive spring rates for a better handling car with a good ride, also built is very high quality standards which are equal to eibachs and they are cost efficient... usually $100 less on the set...)

just get a good set of coils like JIC or TEIN or even ground controll is ok. then you can set the height.
