Never heard of an Integra getting Lemon Lawed...
Buy this one with a blower. 30K miles.

Why'd you sell the R anyway? (Not that an Evo is a horrible choice)

Ouch. Sorry, but I did chuckle at this (not maliciously). While so many people are jumping off of the Honda wagon, I'm too spoiled by Honda reliability to think of getting anything else (other than a Toyota). EVO's are amazing cars, but they're still Mitsu's.
However, the R's are such a PITA to deal with on a daily basis in terms of theft. I know I wouldn't want one unless I had a beater.

Heres the story I loved the car but expected it to be a bit faster than it was it would have a hard time pulling after 130 MPH. Torque? The shifting was flawless handling was great and the engine the most unique I have ever heard. I just worried about it to much, ITR'S always getting stolen, my wife did not want to drive it downtown. It was a weeknd car car only had 5000 miles on it when I sold it. plus I had a horrible experience with South Coast Acura.
I will be getting my buyback money this Friday and have the option to buy a 05 EVO RS. maybe the addressed the p0300 ramdom misfire problem and the 05 will not be a problem. The EVO is very high maintenance.

Hahaha, yeah you're in the wrong forum.
Try a boosted R. All the handling, double the fury. I can imagine that going to an R from an Evo would be a bit hard, just the difference in torque and such. But good luck with your decision. You're here, that's a good start!

I would go with an R any time...
Also because I ate an EVO friday night going home from Qualcom!!! Haha!
Not, I would like to say that the driver was no goot!!! But at the same time...I would also like to own an EVO!!!

You owned an R, what can we possibly help you with?

Todays automotive society says boost = better.
In my opinion, the EVO is a monster of a car for the price, but the R *seems* (word choice as I've never even driven one) like a good learning car if you actively drive it whether its in a parking lot or on a track.
Since you asked though, and since I just posted complete BS since I've never driven either car, YOU WANT THE ITR. Yes, YOU THINK that you want the AWD turbo car, but I am TELLING you to get the R.
If you let what someone (more than likely they have a biased point of view) tells you online effect your decision, seek help. You've driven both cars and hopefully got a feel for the Lancer before it was lemoned. So make an educated decision for yourself.

Not the same scenario... but in early 1998 I posted (somewhere else, GM j-body list)
"y0 I got some cash burning a hole in my pocket, gonna get a Eclipse GSX y0!"
I got a couple of suggestions, including "Hey that Integra Type R looks neat." I had never even heard of it.
So yeah, online suggestions are nice to hear, but we can't exactly tell you what YOU need (which is obviously a Turbo ITR) (EDIT: With ITB's.)

it's not too bad, i actually like the build quality and driving feel of the R better
(does'nt mean i still don't want an EVO)

Wow. What all went wrong with it?
I was somewhat thinking of getting a MR when it came out, since it seemed like the only race tuned car since the ITR. But I always wondered about the reliabality of a turbocharged mitsubishi.
Personally, I would have something slightly slower that I can race year after year without worries than something quicker that breaks all the time. I say get another R

This is interesting...
"New Jersey Consumer Affairs’ Lemon Law Unit analyzed the lemon complaints brought to it during the ten year period ending in 1999. It found that Mitsubishi Motors, and its partners like the Chrysler and Hyundai, were among the worst performers in terms of number of lemons reported per registered car"
