I just got my 96 gsr and the spoiler's paint is well, ****. I've always wanted an ITR wing but they don't have a brake light. Is it necissary to have the 3rd brake light?

When I get an ITR spoiler for mine, I'm gonna get a third brake light. Let me know where you get yours.

 

i think it's good to have it for safety precautions. i don't have one on since i took off my gsr wing. kinda scared sometimes, but i just pump the brakes so the lights kinda flash.

might be cheapest to get a 3rd interior brake light at the junk? i'm not sure how much they go for at acura.

i hope you know that the itr wing doesn't cover up one of the holes on the trunk for the wiring harness on the gsr's wing

 

im sure someone makes a type r wing with a 3rd brake light built in.. most cars have to have a 3rd brake light to pass inspection. i didn't have one, but they passed me anyway...

 

Getting a light for 20 bucks. this way I dont have to worry about it.

imo, the itr wings with the led brake lights built in look stupid.
i've heard of people using a 3rd brake light from a 1st gen integra, which goes inside, by the rear windshield. getting a 3rd gen brake light would require either getting a new rear windshield with one built in, or drilling the holes somehow to install it (if that's even possible without cracking the glass).

 

I think comptech has an itr wing with the brake light built in. It should be a direct fit on the gsr too

fake itr w/ built in brake light = fugly
