Spoon Mooncraft hood
I heard from a friend who has an s2k that supposedly the spoon mooncraft hardtop gives +9mph to the top speed of the S2k? Is the total bullshit like everything that comes out of his mouth or does it have some sense to it lol.

The Spoon decal on the side gives +30 so I don't see why not...

Well I doubt Sp00n would use such a radical design if it did't function, but I don't know about being equivalent to 9hp...

There's likely some truth to your friends comment. It does yeild a sleeker (more aerodynamic) look and at extremely high speed coefficient drag plays a big role. When you consider that the S2K's top speed is drag limited it's not too hard to imagine that altering the shape of the car can result in a few mph. What I'm curious to know about the mooncraft top is if it compounds to the cars rear coefficient lift at high speed or not.
I recall an article on car&driver about the Prius hybrid able to gain an extra 5mph top speed by simply covering up some portion of front bumper duct that leads to the radiator. Their best result to be around 130mph at the salt flats. The S2k tops out around 150mph. At that speed aerodynamic is even more critical.
