how to put on springs/shocks/camber kit
Hey i ahve a 1995 Honda Civic DX coupe and i just bought eiback sportline springs, KYB AGX shocks, and skunk2 camber kit....i was wondering if anyone knows how to put all this on in detailk cause im onyl 15 so its my first time do suspension work myself...thanks
lol...
in detail. aiy.
um ur going to need a 12, a 10, 14, and 17 i think.
jack ur car up. 12s on the top of the shock. 14s on the brakeline, and bottum of the strut onto the control arm. and either 14 or 17 for the bottum too. take em out. should be three main ones u take out at the bottum of the strut.
get the spring off the strut after using springs compressor on the springs. install ur bits. and stick em back in. lol
that probbaly doesnt help much.

um yea.. getting the springs on and off the shocks is going to be your most difficult task. You probly wont need that Skunk2 camber kit, as Sportlines only lower your car about an inch and a half.
if it is your first time and you are nervous about it, use a spring compressor and be CAREFUL. but if you adventurous like me, just put the shock/spring assembly in a plstic garbage bag. keep one foot on the spring inside the bag to keep it still and slowly remove the nut off the top. don't try to prepare yourself for the sound or the feel cuz you will not be able to predict when it happens. scared the crap out of me every time, but worked great! the bag catches all the parts and you get to feel all tough and manly.
i'd say it's more time-consuming than anything. just take your time and look at everything carefully before taking anything apart. if you have a digital camera, take pics before-hand so you can see how to put it back together.
and for goodness sakes, get a manual! there is a lot of debate on which one to get, but I was able to replace my suspension using my Haynes manual and common sense.
good luck!

and yes, when taking your stock shocks apart, use a garbage bag or wrap it in a towel (with a hole cut out for the bolt) and put it between 2 tires so it won't fly through your garage wall.
