Default Removed your airbags?

Sorry to post here, the classified guys were no help, I need an passenger. airbag or just a cover to pass inspection for a 2000 integra (or any other year w/the same dash). Since your non street driven cars don't need them, I thoght this would be a perfect place to post. Thanks guys.

It's going to be a long wait for the next HC season, congrats to my good friend Dave Harrison (H5), he needs some more people in H5 to put him in his place . Maybe soon I will be up there in H1, I just need a whole lot of track time and preperation. Chris

H5 seems to be such an intelligent place to be.

Out there having a blast and spending 25% of the money H1 (and some H2) people are spending.

Hell, he probbly still gets 30 miles per gallon.

Dude, you don't even know. I made money racing this year, once the cost of the car is out of the picture. If I add up all my entry fees, tire costs, brake pads costs, fluid changes and all that, it is way less than Kumho paid me for contingencies.

Hopefully!!

Seriously, Kumho gives me 800 dollars CASH for a weekend of two wins(with 4 or more people in class). 7 weekends x $800 = $5600!

Plus $2000 for the championship award. Now obviously, there aren't always 4 entrants, and you don't always win, but it does add up. And it is cash, not "Kumho dollars".

I just wish I could get them to take taxes out of it for me.

That chasis needs some serious help, (welding patches, seat mount) where can we find a cheap DX engine? Is that the fastest engine that you can run in that car in H5?

Any leads on my airbag/cover?

Which do you need, passenger or driver? I have both from my 95 LS. Not sure about shipping them though...

he needs the passenger side, but all he wants is the cover, so if you don;t wanna ship the bag you can probably work something out. The cover is removable.

Right, I must have skimmed over that. If you want to 'borrow' mine, I'm cool with that (as in, I ship it to you, you do the inspection, you ship it back). Actually, I'll ask around, someone here may have one from their race car.

Would you be willing to sell the airbag?

?

You pay taxes on that as income even though red ink racing is "hobby lossses"?

Or is the racing a form of promotion for a business?

Possibly, although if I ever sold the car (it's my street car) I'd need to put it back. And before all you nannies get your panties in a bunch, I took it out so my 5 year old daughter can ride in the front seat with her car seat when I take her to school.

Make me an offer I can't refuse...

Awww Maaaan, I don't wan't to put you in a bad position like that if I bought it off of you and then you sold the car and you had to buy another one it would cost like $1500 those damn things are expensive. I can definetly find someone that doesn't need theirs anymore, I know the money would be nice... but your a good man for offering...I appreciate it.

I have another option with a fire victim donor, hopfully, and the thing is that the whole airbag won't even fit because the integra dash is in a civic shell so only the cover will go on...seems like such a waste if I were to just take the cover off and use that, but thats what I have to do
but I just saw this just before I posted, look all the way down at the verry bottom of the page, \/ Airbag covers!!! do you guys see it too? I wonder how close to factory the pass. side one looks? $75 Mmmmm....

Good luck. I need a cover for my 00 civic dash as well. Well, I don't NEED it but it looks like crap with that big rectangle hole in it.

I guess I could always get one of those bling bling JDM airbag trays

Have you looked on ebay? They don't seem that much more expensive (than those fake covers you posted) for the whole airbag.

I diidn't do as well as adrift, but I figure Kumho contingency paid for almost all my entry fees, for the year.

As for tires, I bought 8 Kumhos this year, 2 of which I haven't used, yet. The 4 Kumho rain tires I bought this year were ~$35 each, on clearence from TireRack.

Yep, H5 can be pretty affordable.
