Default Aftermarket clutch with stock Pressure plate?

I'm looking in getting a CM stage 3 clutch. I had one on my old car and I really liked the clutch. If I recall correctly, CM uses the stock pressure plate and modify them for their application. I was wondering if it's okay to use the stock pp with a CM stage 3 disk. The goal for my setup is around 250whp with nitrous (which will be rarely used) and the car will be rarely abused.

i know a couple of guys in orlando fl. that are running 4 puck disks on stock pressure plates and say the clutch holds fine and doesn't slip (the cars are making at least 250 to 300 on nitrous)

in fact the setup that you should use is an aftermarket double pressure plate with a OEM disc...

The pressure plate hold the power... not the disc... Some disc have better quality than other...

But if your goal is like 250 whp, I would run a good double pressure plate with a OEM Honda disc. I had this setup on my 250 whp D16 and really enjoyed it... If I could run this setup now I would. This is so much streetable than a puck clutch and it hold realllly fine belive me !!

that came as a surprise. How well has it worked out for you? Just a stock disc?

get your flywheel machined and install the new clutch.

who ever thinks you cant use a stock PP, is, well, for lack of better words, retarded.
